Vote Dr Yakama Manty Jones for the Award for Academic Excellence at the African Youth Awards 2017

My very good friend Dr Yakama Manty Jones has been nominated for the Academic Excellence Award at the African Youth Award 2017. 

Dr Yakama Manty Jones is the Information Management and Quality Assurance Specialist at the President's Delivery Team in the Office of the President.  Dr Jones is also a lecturer at the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and the founder and CEO of the Yaks Manty Jones Foundation, which was launched at Madam Wokie in April 2016.

The Foundations aims at promoting education in Sierra Leone by encouraging literacy and reading culture. The foundation has launched several Textbook Drives with the long term goal of establishing libraries in learning institutions and holding events (quizzes, reading competitions, Reading hour, etc.) in partnership with other literacy groups. Dr Jones was awarded Nexte Sierra Leone Young Professional in Business 2016, and was nominated by the Africa Youth Awards for the African Youth of the Year (Female) Award in 2016.  

As you can see, Dr Jones quite deserving of the Award for academic Excellence and it will be amazing if Sierra Leone could bring the award home this year.

 Africa Youth Awards is a prestige award scheme with the prime aim of appreciating the works of young Africans in Africa and the Diaspora.
