International Women's Day 2017: Celebrating Dr Yakama Manty Jones

Dr Yakama Manty Jones is the Information Management and Quality Assurance Specialist at the President's Delivery Team in the Office of the President.  Dr Jones is also a lecturer at the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and the founder and CEO of the Yaks Manty Jones Foundation.

The Foundations aims at promoting education in Sierra Leone by encouraging the reading culture. The foundation has launched a Textbook Drive with the long term goal of establishing libraries in learning institutions and holding events (quizzes, reading competitions, Reading hour, etc.) in partnership with other literacy groups. Dr Jones was awarded Nexte Sierra Leone Young Professional in Business 2016, and was nominated by the Africa Youth Awards for the African Youth of the Year (Female) Award. 

Dr Jones is a wife and mother two beautiful girls.
