Iro and Buba

Hi everyone, so if you follow African fashion trends you would notice that the traditional Nigerian 'Iro and Buba' outfit has been making a huge comeback in recent years, with different types of fabrics and new ways of styling it. The 'twist and knot trend', which was started by Nigerian Fashion designer Tiffany Amber, is probably the most popular and my personal favourite since it doesn't involve  frequent tying and re-tying of the Lappa (which I just can't do).  A very close friend mine got married over Easter and I wore this to her engagement ceremony. It was so comfortable and easy to dance in, I can't wait to re-rock it, but this time with a Gele.
