Madam Wokie at the Fashion for Development, First Ladies Luncheon and Fashion Show in New York
Hi everyone, I know we've been a bit MIA lately but I hope this makes up for it and somewhat explains the reasons for my absence. Before returning from the African Women's Entrepreneurship Programme I signed up to do a showcase at the Fashion for Development, First Ladies Luncheon and Fashion Show at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Fast-forward to last night this left me with less than a month to put together a full collection, while making sure everything at the Madam Wokie Boutique was great. The showcase which was attended by philanthropists such as HRH, Princess Ameerah Al Taweel, of Saudi Arabia; Franca Sozzani, editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia; Mette-Marit, Crown Princess of Norway; and Mr Michel Sidibé, the Executive Director of UNAIDS, was a huge success . Here are a few pictures from the night taken by my favorite photographer Mambu Bayoh... enjoy

The kind folks at Christian Louboutin were generous enough to supply us with a few Pigalles for the showcase. The management of Brussels Airlines were also generous in providing our tickets for the journey, I cannot thank you enough your generosity
Thank you to everyone for all your kind words and best wishes, it means a lot
xoxo
