Ladies of Purposeful productions in Madam Wokie

Purposeful Productions is a movement building hub for adolescent girls in the global south. Purposeful Productions facilitates and publishes ground breaking research that centres the stories and experiences of the girls most removed from power; provide a platform for girls voices, amplify progressive beliefs, and model new behaviours; and support local, regional and national convening through our strategic partnership with the Sierra Leone Adolescent Girls Network; host events and trainings for practitioners; and run a girl-led grant making process, designed to funnel philanthropic dollars to the smallest local organisations doing the most impactful work. In other parts of the globe, including East and Southern Africa and the Middle East, Purposeful Productions run a series of regional convening that support feminist, anti-imperialist consciousness raising amongst practitioners, promote the design of girl-centred programming, and award long term grants to implement new ideas. 

A delegation from Purposeful Productions was recently in Sierra Leone and paid a visit to Madam Wokie for custom Madam Wokie pieces. Safe to say they were very happy with their purchase and their visit to Sierra Leone, all thanks to Chernor Bah and his amazing team.
