Madam Wokie Bride - Yema

My cousin Yema, drama queen and rebel extraordinaire called me from the UK and said to me "Mary-Ann i'm coming to Freetown in ten days to get married and I want an African theme. Its a registry and mosque wedding......."
Had all kinds of ideas in my head,my cousin is getting married, something simple elegant and very over the top.... diva-ish.Yema has the most amazing dark chocolate complexion and so a white traditional dress will bring out her complexion. I was inspired by the Fulani tribe when working on the gold embroidery for her dress. Finally we were split on whether to do a head wrap or veil, the latter which was a perfect choice.
She was a dream bride to work with, she said to me "I am trusting you to make me look great for my husband."Thankfully the groom was pleased with our final look.
Here are a couple of pictures from the fittings.
